Discover Garlic Knot Pizza & Pasta

If you’re cruising through Centennial and craving something cheesy, saucy, and deeply comforting, Garlic Knot Pizza & Pasta at 5120 E Arapahoe Rd C2, Centennial, CO 80122, United States is the kind of spot that pulls you in with the smell alone. I’ve stopped by more than once after long workdays, and every time the warm scent of baked dough and simmering marinara hits before I even reach the counter. It feels like walking into a neighborhood diner where the staff actually remembers your usual.

The menu is stacked with classic Italian-American favorites-New York-style pizza, baked pasta dishes, crisp salads, calzones, and of course, their signature garlic knots. On my first visit, I went simple: a slice of pepperoni and a side of knots. The crust had that ideal balance-thin but sturdy, with a slight crunch underneath and a chewy interior. According to the American Institute of Baking, proper dough fermentation improves both flavor and texture, and you can taste that here. The dough isn’t rushed; it has that developed flavor that only comes from giving yeast enough time to work its magic.

Their pasta dishes deserve just as much attention. I’ve tried the baked ziti and chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and both arrived bubbling hot, layered with sauce and perfectly melted mozzarella. The marinara tastes bright and balanced, not overly sweet. That tracks with what culinary experts like those from the Culinary Institute of America often explain-great tomato sauce relies on acidity balance and slow simmering to deepen flavor. You can tell care goes into the process. The noodles aren’t overcooked, and the sauces cling instead of pooling at the bottom of the plate.

One thing I appreciate is portion size. You’re not leaving hungry. In fact, I’ve turned leftovers into next-day lunches more than once. For families, that makes a difference. During one visit, I noticed a youth soccer team filling up a long table, sharing large pies and pitchers of soda. It’s that kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is casual, clean, and straightforward-no frills, just good food and friendly service.

Customer reviews online often highlight consistency, and I’ve found that to be true. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the quality holds up. I’ve tested delivery on a busy Friday night, and even then, the pizza arrived hot with the cheese still perfectly melted. That reliability builds trust. In the restaurant world, consistency is everything. The National Restaurant Association frequently notes that repeat business is driven by dependable food quality and service, and this place seems to understand that well.

The garlic knots themselves are worth mentioning again. Soft inside, brushed generously with garlic butter and sprinkled with herbs, they strike the right balance between indulgent and addictive. They’re not greasy; instead, they’re fluffy with just enough crispness on the edges. Paired with a side of marinara, they’re easily shareable-though I won’t judge if you keep them to yourself.

What also stands out is how approachable the menu feels. You don’t need to decode anything. From classic cheese pizza to hearty lasagna, it’s all recognizable and comforting. That clarity matters, especially when dining with kids or larger groups. There are salads for lighter appetites and hearty baked dishes for anyone craving something filling. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, which makes it an easy pick for casual dinners or low-key celebrations.

I should mention that during peak hours, especially weekends, it can get busy. Parking around the shopping center sometimes takes a few extra minutes. Still, the turnover is steady, and orders move efficiently. If you’re planning a larger gathering, calling ahead is probably a smart move.

Overall, this Centennial location delivers exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood pizza and pasta restaurant: flavorful crust, rich sauces, satisfying portions, and a laid-back vibe. It’s the kind of place you return to not because it’s flashy, but because it’s dependable, welcoming, and genuinely good at what it does.

  • I've been coming here with my family for the past 10 years, and this is genuinely one of the few places I have experienced that has maintained their high quality. My daughter and I got lunch specials today. The portions were substantial, the food was fresh, and the service was attentive and friendly. Thank you so much for your work and continued positive dining experience.

  • This cool little pizza place and Italian restaurant is hidden in the back corner of the shopping center but is a great community eatery with friendly service and carn good pizza. When we arrived we were cheerfully greeted by the staff and were given our choice of where to sit. It was not very busy, but it was a Tuesday night. We started off getting some of their garlic knots. I was impressed right off the start because while the normal order comes with 5 knots, we had a party of 3 so they brought us six so that we could each enjoy two. This is a focus on the customer that you do not see that often. The knots were freshly baked and had great flavor. We ordered a large Madison Square pizza and three house salads with blue cheese. The house salads were a size, reflective of the price of the salad. The lettuce was a nice mix and was crisp and fresh. Topped with cucumber, tomatoes, and croutons on the side, it was a great mix of veggies. The blue cheese dressing was very good, and they gave you a nice amount of it so that your salad was perfectly dressed. The Madison Square pizza was very good with a nice New York style crust. It had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green bell pepper, red onions, and extra cheese. When they say extra cheese they are not kidding, it was the perfect amount for me. The large was a great size for three and we still had pizza to take home and enjoy. If for some amazing reason you still have room, the cinnamon sugar knots are a great treat at the end of the meal. They come with some delicious frosting on the side, so you can decide if you need the extra flavor, I thought that they were great without the frosting. I am happy that we continue to explore new places and that we found The Garlic Knot. It is great to find restaurants like this that are hidden away, but are community gems.

  • Came in for dinner on a Tuesday evening with 8 of us. Was seated promptly... But that's about where the speed stopped. Took forever to place our orders or to get refills. Had to ask multiple times for a refresher. However, the food was fine. The extra hot wings were tasty and big. The pizzas were also pretty good and so were the garlic and cinnamon knots. Bottom line, the food was good but don't expect to get anything quickly.

  • One of the finest pizzas and garlic knots I’ve had in recent times. It’s a spacious place with good seating capacity. The food was amazing. Also have options for a free item depending on the day of the week based on a specific bill amount that must be reached for the order. Loved the taste and amazing service.
